I didn’t come to this work through a textbook.

Before I became a therapist, I spent years running several quick-service franchises with over 150 employees. I navigated real estate development. I homeschooled three of my kids while trying to hold a marriage together through 20 years of everything life throws at you — financial pressure, career pivots, the daily weight of decisions that affect people you love.

I know what it feels like to be the person everyone leans on while quietly falling apart inside. To lie awake running scenarios. To lose your temper at the people who matter most, then drown in guilt wondering what’s wrong with you.

That lived experience is why I went back to school and earned my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. It’s why I pursued training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) — an approach that represents a formal evaluation of qualifications, not just a membership. And it’s why I built my practice around the kind of therapy I wish I’d had access to years earlier.

How I work

My approach is direct, warm, and grounded in real life. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Solution-Focused therapy — but the framework I use with clients is something I call Inner Leadership.

The core idea is simple: you have parts of yourself that react — the anxious planner, the angry protector, the exhausted achiever. These parts aren’t broken. They’re working overtime because something deeper needs attention. Inner Leadership means learning to notice those parts without being consumed by them, understanding what they’re carrying, and finding the steady, wise presence that’s been there all along.

We won’t just talk about your feelings. We’ll look at the patterns — why you react the way you do, what old beliefs are driving it, and how to build a different relationship with all of it. The work is practical, it goes as deep as you’re ready to go, and it’s built around your actual life.

Who I work with

I specialize in working with entrepreneurs, business owners, and high-functioning people who are quietly struggling. People who’ve built impressive lives on the outside but are carrying more than anyone knows on the inside. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

I also work with anyone dealing with anger that feels out of control, anxiety that won’t shut off, or a low-grade depression that makes everything feel heavy. You don’t need to be in crisis to start — you just need to be ready to look at things honestly.
